Promise me you will always remember that you are stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you ever imagined.

Little Miss Beauty Queen

Posted by Picasa
Ellie had been playing in her room for quite a while, and when when she came out she looked like this. :) She asked me if I thought she looked like a real Disney Princess, and as the mom I said absolutely yes. She was all smiles thinking she had been successful in transforming herself from a normal pricness into a real Disney Princess. And as beautiful as the face job was, she looked even more beautiful when the makeup was washed off. Although despite what the labels say about staining skin, this makeup she had on did stain her face a nice pink color. :)

Peach Days

We took the kids to the Peach Days Fair in Brigham City, they had so much fun watching the parade which was filled with lots and lots of candy throwers. After the parade we let the kids go on several rides, which Jake wasn't sure he cared for, and then browsed the booths and had lots of fun people watching. Ellie is now more than ever insisting on a summers pass next year to Lagoon, she absolutely loves the rides (even the scary ones) and tried very hard to convince us the day wasn't over when it was.

We were at my nephew Ryan's wedding on the same day as President Faust's funeral, and as we were getting ready to leave we realized that so was his precession line. I took some pictures for memories sake, but thought I would share with you all. In the top right hand corner car is President Hinkley. I almost dropped my camera when I realized who it was and that he was waving in my direction and as I looked around I realized that I was standing all alone. Unfortunately I only snapped that back of his car. It was pretty amazing to see huge police escort he received. Among the 15 or so motorcycle police their were maybe that same amount in actual police cars.

Mantua Lake

We took the kids to Mantua Lake for a pic-nic last
Saturday, and then let them walk along the beach
before we headed home. Well, before we knew it
both kids had taken off their shoes and socks,
and Jake had taken off his pants, and they were
playing in the water. I was very glad the water
and day were both warm. :)

My Blog has changed colors again...

Hi all, I know my blog keeps changing colors but I do have a good reason for this. Ellie came in while I was playing on the net, and when I pulled up our blog page she made this rather loud grumbling noise and then said ( MOM, why do you have to make our page the most boringest page in the whole computers world)? When I told her that I thought that there was nothing wrong with the way the page looked she said, (mom could you at least take me off the page so I won't get embarrassed if my friends look at it and think your old)? Needless to say I changed it right then and there. Heaven forbid her friends might think I was old... Sooo, I let her help me choose colors she is not embarrassed of, and ones that she says make me look YOUNG and COOL. Butt, we may change it again, you never know what mood she will be in next time she looks at the blog. :)

Look at me, cute as can be...

I took Jake out yesterday and snapped some pictures of him in our front and back yard. He was such a trooper. I let him choose the out fit he is wearing, and he of course chose his favorite, this yellow mickey mouse shirt, and his brown corduroy overalls. He has already decided on the picture that we will be adding to his wall of fame in his room. (what is the wall of fame you ask? Well, it is a wall in each of my kids rooms that displays pictures of my kids so they know who they are and what they look in all walks of life. ) They love it and I love it.

Missing Grandpa...

I was just missing Grandpa today, and thought that I would share some of the pictures I have found of him. The one with him and Jaden I just love because it shows just how much grandpa adored his grandkids and great grandkids. The memories I have of him are of a grandpa that made you feel like you were always #1 when he was around, I loved listening to him sing his little songs, and dancing his little jig. Can you believe it has been about seven years since he passed away. Every time I think of him I still get a little sad. In my opinion he left us too soon. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy these pictures of Grandpa, and if you have any that you want to share I would love to see them. :)

NOT camera shy

Jake was jumping on the trampoline, and when he saw that I had the camera in my hand he fell to his belly posed and then said hurry mom, take a picture of me. So I quickly snapped some shots of him, and then he got up and went about his buisness. What a funny kid.

I'm still hear just absent (ha ha)

I have been trying to get some pictures to download to my blog for several weeks now, but everytime I try it won't let me. Sooo, when I figure it out I will put on some cute pics of my kids that I took. One of Ellie with her lost/stollen tooth, and a few of Jake. Anyway, I know it has been quite a while since I last posted, but things have been pretty crazy around our house and with extended family so I ended up letting it get the best of me for a while. So I will try to do better, but have enjoyed reading updates on everyone elses' blogs. Love ya all

Ellie finally lost a tooth..

Ellie had a loose tooth, but it seemed that no matter how hard she tried it would not come out. Well, the other night she was playing in her room and tried to open this little spongebob tin to see what was inside and when she bit it with her tooth it fell out. I was watching her from the other room, and seen her jump up, look in her mirror and then she came running into me. She looked like she was going to pass out. I asked her what happened and she just started mumbling. I told her to take a big breath and then tell me what happened. She took this big breath and then said, this stupid box tried to steal my tooth, look at what it did. And there in her hand was the tooth and the box. I just started to laugh. Oh the things that go through innocent little minds.
Then as she got ready for bed she told me she was nervous about the tooth fairy coming into her room while she was asleep and then asked me what she looked like. I told her she didn't need to worry cause the tooth fairy was a really nice person who looked exactly like me. She looked at me for a moment and then said I knew it, I knew you had some magic in you, your the tooth fairy aren't you mom? Come on you can tell me, I won't tell my friends who you are.
haha
