While we were in Hurricane, we stopped at Maverik so Aunt Kellie could gas up her Ford and looked who we ran into- Yup, it is the Easter Bunny!!!
Ellie and Jake were so excited to get a picture with the white bunny, and then insisted that Grandpa HOP on into the photo with them. The Easter Bunny was so nice and gave them each an Easter egg filled with little Easter stickers. Actually the bunny was sneaky and gave Jake two eggs, and then put his/her finger paw over it's mouth to keep it a secret from Ellie who had already headed inside to grab a soda. Jake thought that he was the coolest kid keeping such a secret from his big sissy. I'm glad my kids got a picture moment like this with their Grandpa!!!
A few weeks ago we took the kids to Salt Lake on the Front Runner. We made a whole day out of having fun in the city. When we first pulled into Salt Lake on the Front Runner we jumped on the TRAX and headed up to Temple Square where we found the Church History Museum and decided to take a tour. (the flowers below were so pretty and huge, they were everywhere)
While inside the museum, we found lots of fun things to do. The kids had fun dressing up and taking dance lessons. :) 
I would like to introduce you to a future General Primary President! (isn't she a beauty?)
Check this out! A future Apostle. He is one handsome man... (love this kid!)
In the basement of the museum, they have pictures on all the walls sent in from primary memebers of the church. There are temples, churches, families, baptisms, you name it it was on the wall. They also had these cool touch screens that you could draw your own picture and either post it on the screen for people to see during their visit to the museum, or you could send it in an e-mail to yourself. The kids had so much fun making beautiful drawings to share.
Anyone who knows Jake knows that his favorite animal is a Lion, and if he had his way he would probably either own a Lion, or be a Lion. (lol) So when he saw this Lion in the Museum he couldn't jump on it fast enough. I am not sure he was supposed to be there, but he was happy!
Of course the kids loved the escalators!

After the Museum, we headed to lunch at Chuck-A-Rama, and then headed to the Gateway where we enjoyed window shopping a bit. 
Once we were about ready to head home, we stopped by Build-A-Bear and let the kids each pick out a bear to take home. They both chose the MP3 speaker bears. They have a speaker in the foot, and a little pocket on the side with a wire to hook to the MP3. The kids love these bears!
All in all it was a very long, but extra fun day. The kids always enjoy the Front Runner, and I am glad it is something we can do as a family once in a while.
Friday evening the kids and I colored Easter Eggs at Grandpa's house while he was down fixing his car at his friend Dave's shop. We got really creative, and made some pretty cool eggs. We each colored 4 eggs. 
I was quite happy that there was little to no mess to clean up. I hate the messy part of coloring Easter eggs. I hate how the die stains hands and clothes, and counter tops. 
Saturday we all headed out to Aunt Kellie's house for a day of fun. We had lunch (dutch oven potatoes, chicken, and lots of yummy homemade salads), dessert homemade dutch oven peach cobbler, and then an Easter egg hunt.

The kids spent lots of time looking high and low for all the candy they could find.
Jake is such a cute little stud. I just love his pose here in this picture. He was showing off his new shirt and hat he got for Easter, along with his new basket full of candy.
Ellie held her basket down low so we could see all the candy she found during the hunt. She is such a silly girl, she tells me she never knows how to stand for pictures, and sometimes feels stupid when I take her picture. I love this girl! 
The kids decided to go over the backyard again and make sure they did not leave any candy behind. I think they actually found some candy hidden that no one had found the first time.
I tried to do something fun this year with dinner for them and I think they really enjoyed it a lot.

and coleslaw on green plates with green punch with seven up,
green ice cubes and green straws to drink it with. 
For dessert we had yummy green cake, with lots and lots of green sparkles on it. 
Ellie drew cute shamrocks on the napkins.
He gave his dad a pin for being his hero. I am sure Troy was honored. It is not everyday a boy looks up to their dad as much as Tanner looks up to his.
Troy, Tanner and Melanie. They don't look at all like Proud Parents do they? LOL
All but one of these young men are my nephews. I was hoping to get a picture with all of them in but one nephew scout age couldn't make it into town, and the three older ones left before I could get pictures done.
