Promise me you will always remember that you are stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you ever imagined.

Super Star Ellie

Ellie's teacher has what she calls Super Star Week. She lets each child in her class have a whole week where they get to be the STAR. When you are the star, you get to take show and tell everyday, (this teacher doesn't do show and tell during the year). You also get to take a poster board full of pictures of yourself (which I had no clue how to do, and make it look nice, so ignore the pic) and you get to take treats on the day of your choice. You also get to be the leader of the class (the teachers helper all week), you get to be the first in line when going anywhere with your class. It is such a big thing for each kid. Ellie is the last in her class being that her last name starts with a (W). Well this past week it was Ellie's turn to be the Super Star. She was so excited she could hardly contain herself. The things she took for her daily show and tells were-

Monday: She took Molly, and Brooklyn (her stuffed bears)
Tuesday: She took her Cinderellas purse, her computer, and one of her porcelain dolls.
Wednesday: She took our big fat cat Fred. I got a kick out of her when she was telling her class about Fred. She told her class that the cat really loves her dad, but kinda hates her mom. :( haha
Thursday: She took her three Cabbage Patch Kids. (Boy, Lucy, and Gabby)
And then today Friday: She took my old Rainbow Bright dog that I gave her. She couldn't wait to tell people that the toy was very, very old, cause it was her moms when I was her age. :0
And then for her treat she chose to take her two favorite snacks, Popsicles, and Air Heads.
It was kinda funny cause one of her friends said I knew Ellie was going to give us air heads. When I asked her why, she said cause when we play together we are big air heads. Ellie's teacher got the biggest kick out of that. Anyway, Ellie's super star week is over, and it's back to the dungeon with her. :) HAHA

And, I missed it....

I have been trying to teach Jake to ride his bike for sometime now, and to no avail I might add. He really enjoys his scooter, and his red rider trike, but has not shown much interest in the bike. Well, last night while I was making dinner Ellie hollered for me to come quick. As I headed to the door I found that my big boy was riding his bike, and with no help. What a sad moment for mom, being that I was so hoping to capture his first success on tape, but what an exciting moment for Jake. He is a big boy, and cannot get enough of his bike. GO JAKE, YOU ROCK!!! You might want to mute your computers so you can't hear my voice, I don't know how to take the vioce off the video.

Sunday Funday

Here are some of my pretty flowers.
Ellie and Jake out on a Sunday drive.
From left to right. Jake, Ellie, Lexi, and Bressa
Ellie and Jake heading home after a fun time playing in the jeep.

Sunday was the first warm day we have had since last year, and my kids were more than happy to have the chance to wear short sleeve shirts, flip flops, and shorts and go for a fun jeep ride. Ellie was a pretty good driver, and Jake was a pretty good passenger. He giggled a lot, and tried to be brave by standing up while sissy was driving. They quickly headed down the street to race their jeep with their friend's 4 wheeler. Ellie's jeep won, which she said was cause she is a really fantastic driver. :)

Secret Celebrity Crushes

Shelise commented on her post today about her secret crush on Simon Cowell, and then her husband Kyle posted about several of his celebrity crushes. And, I was thinking about how I could see how she gets that he is handsome. But thought I might put a few of the men I think are very handsome on my blog. Crazy I know, but I find these men double lookers. ha ha. Hope you enjoy the handsomeness of these beautiful faces. : )
Jeffrey Dean Morgan
George Clooney
Jeff Bridges
I had Taylor Hicks on here with his picture, but for some reason his just disappeared, so I took off his name too. Oh well, these three men are handsome without Taylor's picture being on here.

Rays Boo Boo

Carolyn left a comment in my last post about Ray almost killing himself, and Courtney asked me to explain so here goes... We bought some lumber for our basement quite awhile back, and Ray carried it into the house and left it in the walk way (cause it's his house and he will put it wherever he wants to put it, being that it is HIS house, cause he isn't going to have anyone telling him where he can or cannot put his lumber....) haha Well later that night he woke up and headed downstairs, started walking into the kitchen and tripped over the pile of two by fours. Well he fell hard, but tried to catch his fall with his forearm, resulting in him hitting both his head and arm hard on the counter top. He then fell to the floor. Well, all I heard was this big huge thud sound. I yelled down to him and asked him if he was OK, and he yelled back that he was fine and to go back to bed. Well a minute later I hear another thud, and I yelled again, and he said he was fine. Well the next morning when I woke up I found that my husband had a huge wound on his head. I yelled at him for saying that he was fine. He went on to tell me that had he said he was hurt I would have wanted him to go to the ER. He is correct in the fact that I would have wanted him to go see a Dr. But anyway, he was a pretty sore boy for quite a while, and I babied him until he was better. Then after he was healed from this, he was down in the basement building a wall, and had some wood up at the top of this newly made wall that was standing but not nailed into place, when Jake came into the room and bumped the wall. Well, Ray tried to protect his boy from getting hurt, but by doing so he ended up with the wood falling on his poor head leaving a huge wound on his head. Needless to say he put of doing anymore work on the basement until just recently. So, lets hope this project he has started up again gets finished without anymore injuries to Ray or the kids.

Our Remodeling Project

Ray has been slowly trying to finish his office in the basement, and Ellie and Jake are very much eager to help him work. As much as he enjoys them being in there helping him, it is not a real big room, and he worries that he is going to run them over. Below are some pictures of the kids trying to lend a helping hand to daddy while he is hard at work.
I think Ray is going to try and do the big stuff while the kids are at school. He just may get more work done. : ) But, when he does finally get his office finished it will be a nice place to study.

Spidy Jake is on the Prowl

Jake woke up the other day in a very goofy mood. He quietly tiptoed through the house searching for bad guys, and then once he would find them he would spray imaginary glue on them and stick them to the wall. Ellie on the other hand was not to impressed when he sprayed her because she did not want to be stuck to the wall. (She had better things to be doing than being stuck to a wall) ha ha, Anyway after he rounded up all the bad guys in the house he grabbed his sponge bob cup and headed downstairs to watch Toy Story. I love having a boy, and love the wild imagination that comes along with him growing and growing.
