Fall Pictures

I took the kids out last week and did some photos of them. For the most part I think they turned out pretty good. Some of the things I noticed more this time while doing there pictures is that Ellie acts like she is dead tired anytime the camera points in her direction, which can be both funny and annoying at the same time. Jake kept telling me I was done doing his pictures after maybe the 5th shot so he kept glaring at me, so I started a count down with him giving me a stink face and by the time I would get to one he would smile a perfect smile almost every time. Guess I am going to have to start figuring out different ways to get good pictures of these two.

Superman and his Lady Bug Princess

Do I have the cutest kids or what?
We had lots of fun tonight at our wards trunk or treat, even though it rained like crazy, the wind blew, and we froze. Plus to top it off we ran out of candy a little sooner that I thought we would. The kids had lots of fun, and Jake even found Super Woman there at the party and decided she may be the type of gal he would like to marry when he gets off his mission. lol

Lady Bug Princess Ellie

(she is really tired in this picture)

The kids made a hall. I know it may not look like much in this picture, but they filled their little bags, and even had some extra in their hands when they were done this evening. I decided it wasn't even necessary to go door to door to do trick or treating this year.Super Man Jake(with a mouth full of candy)
It took the kids a while to decide who they were going to be for Halloween, but after searching the web for some time, Jake decided that he would still like to be Superman, and Ellie decided that she wanted to be a Lady Bug. And then one day while I was shopping I found this adorable tiara on clearance and bought it for her. She was so excited, and decided that she wanted to go as a Lady Bug Princess.

Uncle Chad and Life Flight

Chad recently got hired on with IHC Life Flight out of St. George, and has been traveling around to different air pads to train. While he was in Ogden he called us and asked if we (Ellie, Jake and I) wanted to come down and visit him. Well as soon as the kids were out of school we headed down to Ogden (about 45 minutes away) to visit with uncle Chad, and get some pictures of the Life Flight Chopper. We knew we didn't have much time being that it was 3PM and he was headed back to Hurricane at 6PM but family means a lot to us, and we decided that it was worth the 90 or so minutes in the car to visit with him. :) Ellie and Jake thought they were pretty cool to get to sit in the chopper with uncle Chad.Doesn't Jake look so cool! He looks like he is ready to hop on board and fly this bad boy.And here is is in the pit, ready to take flight. He had to make sure it wasn't going to fly away with him in it before he would climb in at all. (lol) Such a little worrier!Ellie would have been more than happy to have it take off with her inside. She is a bit more brave than her little brother. She is my brave child, usually always willing to try things like this. After the kids got done checking out Life Flight, they decided they would let uncle Chad and I visit while they rolled down the big hill next to where the chopper was parked. All that was going through my mind as they were rolling down this big hill was oh man I hope they don't throw up in my car on the way home. Both kids have a bit of a weak stomach when it comes to spinning, or whirling very much. And this hill was taking them for a spin!Going, Going, Going-Gone!
It really was a steep hill.I thought the Sky looked so beautiful that I had to capture a few pictures while visiting with Chad. The Jets were flying through the air from HILL air force base, and it really made me miss living in Ogden and hearing the jet rumble on a daily basis.
(The little specks in the picture are jets returning home to the base)

Dinosaur Park with the Sanders

We went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden with Stephanie and her family. We got lucky, we ended up being there when they were having a Halloween night as well, so we were able to go through during the daytime hours and then the kids hurried into their costumes and we headed back so they could do the park spook alley style and also to do some trick-or-treating!What nice brothers, feeding Stetson to the dinosaur. Check out these BIG, tough kids. Jake and Stetson look so small infront of this big, tall, long neck dinosaur.Jake and Ellie posing infront of a harry rhino.LONG NECK!OK, they are just too cute! They were trying to look devistated, they just look cute. :)Chylie trying to look big, and tough like this mammoth. She's a bit too cute to be a mammoth! It was pretty hard getting a good picture of the Sander's family, so of the 10 pictures I took, this one was the best. 6 out of 7 people smiling is not bad at all

Jake thought he was pretty cool catching a ride with a pink dinosaur. Jaxon got stuck in the eye of the skull, Braidon just stood by making fun of him instead of helping him get loose. What a good big brother! LOLThis just might be the cutest little witch I have ever seen.

Dylan and Jaxon held on for dear life as the big dinosaur attempted to eat them for a snack.

Airplane/Train Museums with the Sanders

While Stephanie and Chai were here with there kids, we took them to the Airplane Museum, and to the Train Museum on 25th Street.

I caught these boys actually being kind and loving to each other, and I thought I would hurry and get the picture so that years down the road when they try to deny that they were ever loving to each other I can pull out this picture and prove them wrong. lol

These two boys thought they were real cool climbing on the train that carried the
Salt Lake City Olympics Flame.
Ellie, trying to decide which way she should go!
Outside the Airplane Museum
I promise Stetson was more excited to be here than he is leading on. :)

Dylan doing a little daydreaming!

Braidon looking all cool and stuff

Dylan looking all cool standing on the front of a train engine
Look, Jaxon is really happy to be a hobo on a train.
Chylie is so cool!!!
I just love Stetson Cheesy smile in this picture Ellie saying her goodbyes as she boards the train

Jake got ready for school this morning and then came downstairs and asked me if I would take a picture of his cute wrangler bum. He is such a cute kid, and he keeps me on my toes constantly.

4th Grade Wax Museum

Ellie's 4th Grade class did a Wax Museum, and each student was given the opportunity to choose who they wanted to do their report on. Ellie chose to do her report on Brigham Young, and dressed up like his daughter Ellie Young and told a little bit about her father and the type of man he was and the Legacy and name he left for himself after he passed away. She did a really good job, and I am proud of her hard work. Some of the other Names you could choose from were John Wesley Powell~Jedediah Smith~And Father's Escalante and Dominguez~

The teacher set up the classroom like a Wax Museum, and then opened it up to parents and Grandparents to walk around the room and listen to the stories of these Old Time Pioneers.
