Cowntdown to HALLOWEEN

Elllie has been so excited for Halloween this year, because I told her she could go to the Pumpkin Walk at her School. Last year Jake was not feeling well, so we stayed home. But, this year I have been asked to make the sign for her class and pitch in as one of the room moms, so this means we will attend. She wakes up every morning with a happy 12 days left, 9 days left, and this morning she got up and happily announced 7 days left. Well, I am not much of a Halloween lover, so this countdown is not a happy one for me. I hate the masks that are worn, any mask that is worn to be honest. But most of all I hate the stupid clown costumes with masks or painted faces. I hate the masks that grown adults think they need to wear. It freaks me right out, and makes for a stressful night when I have to walk out with my kids and take the chance of seeing one of these ugly things. So anyway this morning when Ellie announced to me that there was only 7 days left, I told her that I was thinking maybe I would let her and her brother wear the costumes to dinner and then to a movie and skip the Trick-or-Treat part of Halloween. She was not happy with me for this idea, and so I guess it's back to the door to door running into idiots routine for us. ha ha ha :)
