Jake's Tooth
Jake has had his top two front teeth loose for quite some time now, but they did not seem to want to come out. So, after playing with one all day he came to me and asked how to make it come out. I told him we could google it and see how other cool boys make their teeth come out and he said sure. So we got on google and seen that some kids used ice- that didn't work.
Other boys ate apples and carrots- that wasn't working either. Our last video we watched was of a young boy about Jake's age who let his sister put a string on his tooth and tie it to the cat. They let the dog loose and the cat took off and pulled his tooth right out.
Well, seeing that we don't have a cat, and all our pup wanted to do was lick him (almost to death as Jake put it), we, and by we I mean he, wanted to try the floss around the tooth. The first time he yanked it scared him a bit, and he whimpered.
The second time he held on with one hand, and as we counted to three I grabbed onto the string as well for extra insurance that this tooth would finally come out. Well it did just that, and boy was he excited. Now we are just waiting for the other front tooth to come loose so that we can decide which way will work best to get it out. :)

As my niece pointed out it sounds like I have a potty mouth. I don't, I was kinda freaking myself out a bit, and I stopped the tape mid (gosh). Oh and clearly you will see that my voice is annoying. Please ignore that part as well! :)

Fun with a Friend

We invited Ellie's friend Hollie to go to the park with us in Corrine. The kids had a fun, silly time even though it was hot as could be outside, and the playground was almost too hot to touch!
Mom came up with a new idea- Maybe we will start waiting until it is almost dark and then we will go play fun night games at all the fun parks we can find. That way we don't burn up!!! ;)

Happy Birthday Ellie
I can't believe my little ElleBell is already 10. Time seems to be soaring and there isn't a thing I can do about it except enjoy her silly personality and love her to pieces. I love you Ellie, and hope you know how proud I am of you and all the great things you do.
Here is a list of my favorite 10 things about my girl El.
1* She has the biggest heart of any kid you could meet, she is a friend to all, and will forgive you of all the stupid things you do just cause she knows how to.
2* She has the most contagious giggle of anyone I have ever met. (sometimes I do or say silly things just so I can hear her giggle) :)
3* She is the best big sister a kid could ask for.
4* She does her best in everything she does, and it shows.
5* She gives the best hugs of any girl I know!
6* She is honest and sincere in her daily living.
7* She is THE most protective cousin her cousins could ever hope for. (if she thinks someone has or might have harmed one of her loved ones she will look for a way to hunt you down and give you an ear full) ;)
8* She is a good role model for her younger brother.
9* She knows just what to say when you need to hear it.
10* She is my daughter, and I would not trade her for all the lemon drops or gum drops in the world.
I love you to the Moon!
Love, Mom

Duck Stamp Contest
Ellie entered a Duck Stamp Contest for the Bird Refuge through her school. She was supposed to decide on a duck she wanted to draw, and then do her best work. She got online and searched the internet for the perfect duck.
She loved a picture she found of a Wood Duck, and decided that this would be the duck she would draw. She was more than excited when she found out that she got an Honorable Mention. She worked really hard on this drawing, and we are very proud of her and her talents.
