At the beginning of the month we were asked if Ellie might want to participate in Color Guard Camp with Taylee (Ellie's friend) her mom and another gal in our ward are the director/coaches and they were going to be doing the first ever annual camp. Ellie was really excited about this, and the fact that she would get a shirt, a flag, and have the chance to march in the 24th of July parade in Bear River City. Well today was the camp. They learned some flag moves, and some marching techniques, along with a dance routine that they performed for the parents at the end. Ellie was quite excited to be among the group, and thought she was pretty cool. :) Melissa, Taylee's mom said they ended up with twice as many girls attending as what they had originally thought would be there. They had 80 girls show up. The money they earned will go towards uniforms that they will use for dances, pictures, and competitions. I am just glad that Ellie was able to have a fun time, and was able to try something new. I recorded parts of her dance, and if I can get it to work I will post it sometime so that you can see my girl in action.
