Oh My...

When we woke up the other morning we were surprised. Mother Nature had given us more than a whopping foot of snow. My kids were so dang excited. They could hardly contain themselves. As for Ray and I, we knew we had a job ahead of us. Shoveling sidewalks, and the driveway were quite the chore. Our town has a law that sidewalks must be cleared of snow at all times, and no vehicles may be parked on the side of the road during stormy times. I am beginning to think that Ray and I are the only ones on our street to take this law serious. The car in the picture below was ticketed while I was taking this picture. It is a $100 fine for cars left on the road, and a $50 fine if they notice your sidewalk is impassable. Crazy, crazy, crazy!!

Jake thought it was pretty funny that the snow came right up to his bottom. This is the snowman that we made yesterday with Jake while Ellie was at school. The face looks pretty crazy I know, but I read on this online page that food coloring works great for making the face, and buttons in the snow. Well, I tried it and it worked perfect at first but then an hour later this was how our handsome frosty looked. DARN IT....
Jake would not let us put sticks in for arms. He insisted that it was going to make frosty cry. So here we have an armless frosty. But, Ray says he just looks like he has his arms folded.

  5. Wow, at least you have snow to build a snowman in. When we get snow it isn't enough to even make a good snowball to throw at Uncle Merlin. Keep having fun in the snow and send lots of pictures so we can all enjoy it with you. This is the way I like snow, in a picture. I hate the cold. Love Aunt Kellie
